Update: Stricken anyway with insomnia, I decided to investigate your suggestion for RSS Graffiti. By God -- it actually works! Even I could figure it out! It doesn't provide a preview photo like I used to be able to do, but it does provide the title and a link. I guess I can play around with some settings. Anyhow, thanks for the solution

Thanks for the suggestions, but I guess I'm just in way over my head here. The FB cache flushing procedure linked above talks about "urls" and "query strings" and I'm now I'm even more confused. I'm not a programmer and I don't know code. All I know is that I was blogging along for a long time with no problems and suddenly the link w/ FB is gone. If I have to learn coding to link my blog to Facebook, I'll have to find something simpler. Thanks.

1. flushing your FB cache but disconnect from FB first http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/

2. the full reconnect procedure again detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step.

Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.

I have done the "reconnect" procedure I dunno how many times. I can access Facebook okay, but for some reason, whenever I create a new post on WordPress is doesn't publish on my FB page. (It worked fine for the better part of two years!?!) And, like I said, everything else I ever posted on WordPress is gone from my FB page too. The app is still there -- I even deleted it and reconnected, like I said.

And I'm not sure what "flushing the FB cache" means. I'm a computer idiot. I did empty the cache in Safari but I don't know if that's the same thing.

I just boggles my mind that this could be fine for so long and suddenly, well, it's not. No moving parts. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

Try disconnecting, then flushing the FB cache, then re-connecting it.

Are you unable to connect your Facebook account? Or is the connection failing in some way?

If all your posts on Facebook have disappeared, it sounds like you may have disabled the app on Facebook in your Privacy Settings. (There's an option to delete all content from the specific app when you do this.) If so you will need to re-enable the connection, etc. Unfortunately, if things have been deleted there, they aren't recoverable.

I can't publicize to Facebook. I've tried to full reconnect procedures and nothing seems to work. Also, all of my past posts that used to be on Facebook are now gone. What am I doing wrong?
