Hi!
My followers did not get a notification of my new entry yesterday. I don't think the comments above gave a possible reason/solution.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

I don't think this is really about notification options. Are you ware of how Google views duplicated content? They introduced the Panda algorigthm to detect it and hetremove it from the SERPs (search page engine results) http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66359

Also if I was a subscriber and already had your daily devotional for a year in a file on my computer it wouldn't make any sense for your to email me the smae ones again the following year. That's daft!

OK thank you that makes sense. Would you happen to know if I installed WP on my server, if that version of WP would give more notification options?

It's NOT a new post. That's why they don't get the email notification. At one point WP would have notified them, but so many people complained their subscribers were inundated with notices everytime they edited a post, that WP disabled it.

You can use the Copy A Post function if they've re-enabled it. That will count as a new post and go out to your subscribers.

I have a blog that posts a devotional for each day of the year. The followers receive an email notification. After one year is up I re-schedule the date all of the devotionals to post on the same day a year later. My followers do not receive these re-post notifications. Apparent WordPress is doesn't consider it a new post. I am looking for a solution. Thank You!
