If I register there and I get the new. com will I then be able to erase the .wordpress.com version without losing the content?

I mean I want ___.com as my address in the bar too, rather than just as a link to my wordpress, if you see what I'm saying.

So, being a total idiot, I deleted the address 101londonmuseum.wordpress.com and kept (by mistake) my typo laden 101londonmuSEMS.wordpress.com

Now, I'd like to change it all to 101londonmuseums.com To stop me from looking like an idiot.

Question is: How can I register for the latter and not the former?
