Hi there,

I don't know if the problem you experienced was related to your operating system or not, but the gradual rollout of the reader updates was part of a planned phase in.

Best!

Yep, it works. I have to get used to the new reader now, like many others :) I am glad to not see my images blown up so big, though.

Oh, can you tell me... Was this because my operating system is Linux? Or was there something else?

I just looked (using my old Firefox) and things are about the same as I wrote earlier. Today's photo is still the720 pixels wide on the Reader. Oh, I wish it was a better looking picture, but it was funny.

The only change is instead of the edit icon, it is a texted link. Clicking on it collapses all the blogs to a list, hiding/showing the options as you would see in the image. I hope this makes sense.

I just tried the browser
rekonq
Version 0.4.0
Using KDE Development Platform 4.4.3 (KDE 4.4.3)

The issues are the same on there, but we don't use it often, mostly just for sites that are Windows specific (We use Fedora- Linux)), so have not upgraded it in some time.

My husband deals with all the upgrading on this computer and he is anti-Google, so do not use Chrome. I have not viewed the Reader yet today, but I will see how it looks with another browser we have.

I appreciate your reply. I'll pop over to the Reader shortly.

Hi there,

There are a few tweaks happening with the Reader and that interface that you see - some were resolved this morning, and some are on-going. We do recommend that you upgrade to the newest browsers, and Firefox 16 is already two revisions behind the current 18, but I understand that it may just create MORE problems at this point.

Have you considered trying Chrome for your WordPress.com site for the time being?

Cheers, and sorry for the inconvenience!

I just discovered a new issue with the Reader. I am not able to change how often I receive emails for the blogs I follow.
I created a Screenshot.
http://birdingbunch.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/screenshot-1.png

I clicked on the little icon for Edit Notifications on one of the blogs, seeing if it would have made the editing possible, but I ended up getting a email stating I am now following that blog, but I already was following. ???

So, is this issue and the photo one related to the browser I use? I guess I am a bit befuddled that firefox 16 would already be rendered useless.

Sorry to be a bother.

This is the cropped, resized photo have stored at Picasa and uploaded to today's blog post. It is 500 pixels wide.
Hunter

With the earlier changes to the Reader, I started following my blog to see how others would view my site there. Strangely I am still on the old Reader, so never was able to see what everyone else has.

Somehow WordPress is increasing the size beyond what I have uploaded. This one is 720 pixels wide.
I got this from right clicking on the image while in the Reader.
"big" Hunter

I did verify this with the edited photo I have on my computer, 500 pixels.

Not a major issue or anything, but why?? Some people's photos are great, so surely can handle a larger image. Mine, not being the best, look even worse.

If it makes any difference, the browser is Firefox 16.0.1. There are issues with the newest Firefox on another site I use, so until that is fixed I will not be updating.

Thanks for any response.
