What you can do is put up a notice on the old blog(s) that you have moved. I'd put up static front page with the link to the new site.

I'm planning on merging all my blogs in my account.

I'm aware about how to merge blogs of the same wordpress account using export/import tools. But how do I redirect users who happen to visit a post in the old blog to the same post in the new blog?
