Thank you sooo much for helping me publish the blog. My next question is, How do I set statistics up for Gluten Free Gut? Do I have it and how do I access it? If I don't have it what do I need to do? Is there a place for people to comment to me if they want? Or how would I set that up?

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and updated your name servers for glutenfreegut.com to point to Wix, so I can see your Wix site here:

If you don't see your Wix site yet, please check again in a few hours. It can take up to 48 hours for name server changes to fully update. You can also try clearing your browser's cache.

I've also removed the unneeded site redirect and refunded $13. It can take 1-2 weeks for a refund to be reflected on your account.

I'd still like to get to the bottom of why you're not seeing the Domain Administration area, so feel free to still upload that screenshot.

Hi there - I think it would be useful to see a screenshot of what you're seeing in your Domains area.

You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library and then post a link so we can see it, or just let us know that it's there and we'll find it.

Could you also please check in a different browser, like Firefox or Chrome, just to make sure something's not going wrong in Safari?

Ok this is where I have a problem, I don't have Domain Administration, I see
Primary Domain subscription
. nsl.wix.com manage domain subscription
glutenfreegutdotcom.wordpress.com never expires

This is the screen I get to and there is no domain administration. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,

I'd be happy to help you!

So it sounds like there are two things you'd like to do: point your nameservers for your domain to your blog at Wix, and then redirect your current blog to that other blog.

First, you'll want to change your nameservers. You'll need to log into glutenfreegutt.wordpress.com and go to Store > Domains (you'll know you're in the right place when you see two domains listed: glutenfreegutt.wordpress.com and glutenfreegut.com.)

Then, you'll need to look toward the bottom of the page where it says Domain Administration and select "Make changes to DNS" from the drop-down menu.

Next, follow the instructions here to log in and set your name servers to ns1.wix.com and ns2.wix.com:

It sounded like you had issues with this step before, so just let me know if you continue to have a problem.

After that step is complete, you'll want to return to your Store on that blog, and purchase the Site Redirect Upgrade. You will fill in your custom domain to redirect your site.

Hi there,

I logged in as you, and I see that you're redirecting your site to ns1.wix.com, which isn't a site, but is a nameserver instead. Typing this into your URL bar won't take you to your site.

It sounds like Wix gave you two nameservers: ns1.wix.com and ns2.wix.com.

You use nameservers to point your domain to a blog. In order to do that, you log into your domain registrar (which may be WordPress, but isn't necessarily), and update your nameservers. When a domain is pointed at WordPress.com, they are NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM. Other registrars use the same convention - NS1.registrarname.COM, NS2.registrarname.COM, etc.

So I'd be happy to help you, but I don't fully understand what your goal is. Are you going to move your WordPress.com blog to a Wix site and also point your domain to that site? I'd be happy to help you through this process!

I do not have the second half of the screen you showed me. Is there an email I can send you a screen shot of what I have on my screen? I do not have where it says "Domain Administration" or anything under it.

When I go to store and then domain I do not have Domain Administration as an option. What am I doing wrong? I'm Very frustrated.. Please let me know.

Hi there - it sounds like what you're actually trying to do is update your name servers, rather than mapping a custom domain to your site.

Could you please explain your end goal in more detail? Are you moving your site from WordPress.com to Wix, for example, and you're trying to point your glutenfreegut.com domain over to the new Wix site?

In this case, you should not be trying to map domains to your site, you need to log into your domain management area instead and update the name servers so they point to Wix.

To do that, head over to Store > Domains:

Look toward the bottom of the page where it says Domain Administration and select "Make changes to DNS" from the drop-down menu.

It is not letting me add another domain. I have my primary domain set at ns1.wix.com and need to add this domain: ns2.wix.com and it is not letting me. It says, "Other subdomains of this domain are registered to another user at WordPress.com so you can't use it for your site. Only that user can register other subdomains." These were the two websites I was given by Wix to redirect my WordPress blog site to them.

It's possible to add multiple domains to one blog. You can go to Store > Domains on your blog's dashboard and follow the steps there.

I need to change my domain server to two addresses, not just one. What should I do? It only allows me to add one primary domain, and when I try to add another domain, it tells me I cannot do that. Is it possible to point my WordPress blog to an IP address?
