Any idea how to change the theme width? The header, the body text, everything. I tried going through and changing the pixels in the coding but it's not working.

At settings > discussion, disable trackbacks and pingbacks too. Make sure and save after doing that so that your changes are saved.

This will affect all pages and posts from that point forward. Any existing pages or posts, you will have to edit and then disable comments in the discussion module down below the text area in the editor.

For the widgets at the bottom, go to appearance > widgets and drag a text widget over and into both of the sidebars and leave them blank (no title and nothing in the text box).
