Thanks. That's exactly what I ended up doing. I wasn't that concerned about search engines for this post.
Here's what it looks like. Is this what you mean/intended?
http://thesixties101.com/
Thanks for your interest, Jennifer. I appreciate it.

FWIW, the Reblog function captures an excerpt of the original post and then links to it. Don't know how much that counts as duplicate content as far as the search engines are concerned.

You could also put a Text Widget with some links to past stories, call the heading "Golden goodies" - "Too Good to Forget" or something like that with the title to the past Posts.

I use a Most Popular recently viewed widget so when one Post gets a lot of traffic it shows up in the Widget and that seems to generate some extra interest. My traffic is modest so a few clicks on a Post will put it into the bottom of the Recently Viewed. It has a 24 to 48 hour running average I think so the Posts displayed do change a bit every day.

Remember, though, that search engines HATE duplicated content, so if you're going to repost it, you should delete the old post. They also hate links that go to pages that have been deleted, but not as much as they hate duplicated content.

What I'd suggest is making a new post saying "and you should check out this AWESOME post from the archives"..
