Correct. No re-confirmation is needed, they should get your first post automatically.

My fear is also that people will end up getting more than one email with my posts.

You could deactivate the Feedburner email option in their control panel to ensure that doesn't happen, after copying out the emails of any folks you might need to contact.

I'm sorry to keep bugging you. I'm sure just really nervous to do this wrong. Many of the people on the transferred list had resigned up when I asked them to switch to feedburner. Unfortunately that option isn't currently available for Jetpack.
