These transferred addresses are good to go even though they may have signed up originally on my wp.com address two years ago? They don't need to reconfirm or anything?

Correct. No re-confirmation is needed, they should get your first post automatically.

My fear is also that people will end up getting more than one email with my posts.

You could deactivate the Feedburner email option in their control panel to ensure that doesn't happen, after copying out the emails of any folks you might need to contact.

Just let me know if you have any other questions, I'm here to help. :-)

Kathryn, you've been so helpful. I'm sorry to keep bugging you. I'm sure just really nervous to do this wrong. Many of the people on the transferred list had resigned up when I asked them to switch to feedburner. If I delete them off of feedburner, I don't want to lose them forever. These transferred addresses are good to go even though they may have signed up originally on my wp.com address two years ago? They don't need to reconfirm or anything? I'm hoping to compare my two lists and delete any repeats on Feedburner and ask the feedburner-only addresses to switch over. My fear is also that people will end up getting more than one email with my posts.

Thank you again, Nina

I agree about the clicking one has to do re: Feedburner.
it's the subscribers who control the frequency of receipt in the WordPress.com system. Staff can answer how it's done on WordPress.org installs when they respond to this thread.

Well, I guess to be fair I'll need to be using jetpack for subscription services for a few weeks to really compare. Feedburner sometimes doesn't deliver the post. Also, you have to click through several pages to get to a very un-user friendly section on feedburner to manage things like delivery times and see your subscribers. While we're on the topic, will I be able to control delivery time frame via jetpack?

Hello! I would like help to transfer the jetpack email subscribers from my old .com address to my newer self-hosted address. I have jetpack installed on the self-hosted site.

.com site was http://ninabadzin.com (WP.com original version was http://ninasbadzin.wordpress.com)
.org site is http://ninabadzin.com

Please let me know if you need any more information. For what it's worth, I tried feedburner for a few months, but I miss Jetpack. It was SO MUCH better!

Thanks, Nina
