At bottom of my home page I clicked on "Entries (RSS)"
In the yellow box at top I clicked on "Subscribe to this feed"
Then, in the blue pop-up menu I clicked on "subscribe."

(I was testing this so I could tell people how to subscribe when new material is posted--is there an easier way?)

I don't understand why dja70 is being displayed. It's not being displayed on the post so this makes no sense to me. As for the shortened link it does direct to your post. Which feed reader service di you use to subscribe?

I subscribed to my own RSS feed to see how it operates (this is all new to me). When the RSS email notice arrived in my inbox, the following appeared at the top of the email:

dja70 | February 8, 2010 at 6:14 pm | Tags: Child, cooking, Julia, passion, valentine | Categories: Dianne's Blog | URL: http://wp.me/pKAGk-5o

How do I keep “dja70” from being visible, and why does the URL read http://wp.me/pKAGk-5o ?

My URL is: inandaroundthegarden.net
