It does not change the RSS Feed setting. Go here > Settings > Reading and change the RSS Feed from "full text" to "summary" and then click "save changes".

I would prefer they get the first paragraph and then click on a link to "continue reading." This way my blog might get more traffic. Is this doable?

I already know how to insert the "continue reading" function--I just am not sure what followers will see in the email message if I truncate the post this way.
