Greetings! I hope you're having a great day. I could use some help with wiring up an email alias. I recently added a custom domain to my blog. I updated the domain name servers to ns1.wordpress.com, etc. Now I'm trying to assign the email services back to Blue Host (where the domain name is registered) for handling. I've added MX 1 MAIL.BLUEHOST.COM to the Custom DNS section and it validated, but I have a feeling this is incorrect. The support documentation seems to say that one can enter mail.singlegirlsguidetotravel.com as the mail value, but if the DNS is pointing to WordPress, I can't see how that would work. I have verified that the DNS is pointing to WordPress and my new custom domain name is working.
Can you let me know what should be entered in order to get my email alias working over at Blue Host? Thank you very much.
