For now, I have changed the layout width from "fixed" to "flexible." It is not my preference, but at least the sidebar is back where it should be. I will keep looking through posts and widgets to see if there is an issue. So frustrating, but thanks for your help with this raincoaster.

The issue with widget image size does not appear to be a problem - as I had removed the only Image widget from the sidebar and the issue remained. I have been using the current theme for nearly 2 years, so I'm not sure why it would be an issue with the them all of a sudden?
The one thing I noticed when looking through posts in "text" rather than "visual" is that I can not see all the coding - i.e. I can not see any <div> codes. However, since I had changed the settings in formatting for WordPress to automatically catch this, I'm assuming this isn't the issue anyway.

Yes, putting widgets into Inactive will solve the problem if the problem is the widgets.

Changing the settings in 1) only applies to posts you either make or edit from that point on. It does NOT automatically apply to old posts, which is why you have to do the set to Draft and back thing.

I'm not great with code, but there are some weirdnesses in your sidebar code. Try taking ALL the widgets out, then adding them back one by one, checking in between each.

Okay - I also edited and saved each text widget I have and still nothing happened. I had read that wordpress doesn't correct invalid XHTML in widgets. Would putting each widgets into the inactive area solve the problem if one of the widgets has an error? Also, is there a possibility that changing the settings in 1) could take a while to take affect? OR could it be an old error in another post? i.e. should I be change all my posts into draft and then publish again? I only did this to the most recent posts, as I assumed this was the error. Sorry for all the questions, this is just very frustrating.

HTML errors are cumulative, so over time an old error can cause things to go crazy suddenly.

Since you have the setting in 1) active now, all you should do is open up the text widgets one by one, add a space or anything at all, then save it. That forces the change to take effect; it doesn't until the post/widget/page/whatever is edited. That's why you have to do step 2) as well.

What would I look for (I'm not sure what missing tags would look like)? I also didn't change anything in the widgets when this started happening, so that's why I'm confused. The problem seemed to arise prior to any new posts or changes on the blog.

2) go to your dashboard Posts page, and using the bulk editor, set the most recent posts to Draft, then back to Published. This forces the setting in 1) to take effect.

My sidebar is at the bottom of my page. I have looked through all recent posts for <div> tags, but have not found any. I am not sure what the issue is, as nothing was really changed on my blog prior to the issue happening (although I wrote a new post, and added a new page since the problem started).
Thanks.
