In Mistylook, the width of your image should be about 175. The widget won't automatically resize it, so you should make your image the correct width before uploading. If it's just a little too large, you can use the Visual editor to scale it smaller.

Sorry, my blog is http://serendipitytwo.wordpress.com/

What is the width of the sidebar? I can most likely change the width in one of my programs on the computer and I do know some css. I just wasn't sure if I need to put in a width in the html when adding the picture or what. I assumed the sidebar (or when adding the pic) it would do it automatically to fit within the sidebar.

Thanks for your help.

meboyle
The blog linked to your name is not a WordPress.com blog. If you are asking questions here, it it polite to provide a link to your wp.com blog. start with http://
If you have a wp.com blog, then you must upload a picture narrow enough to fit the sidebar. Use image editing software to make it the appropriate size.
I don't have any idea what "the hugs" is. If that is your question, then provide a link to what it is.
In general, you can't change the width of sidebars with wordpress.com blogs. CSS might work (I have not experience with CSS) or not. At any rate that would involve you knowing CSS and paying for an upgrade.

Hi. I'm trying to figure out how to get a picture on my sidebar without it being off the page. I uploaded a pic from my computer yesterday and you could only see my face and nobody else in the pic. It was huge, obviously didn't fit in the sidebar space (text box) alloted. I added an application tonight (the hugs) and I don't think the counter is totally on the page. Is this something I can change or not? I am using the Mistylook template so maybe the sidebar width can't be changed or maybe I just don't know how to do it. Help if you can please. It may be tomorrow before I reply if someone has any advice. Thanks ahead of time.
