The answer to your question is that you cannot change what Google has. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
If you publish fresh content in Posts frequently it will appear above those entries in search results.
10 factors that expedite indexing > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/21/omg-i-cant-find-my-blog-on-google/
It's posts that attract search engine attention, not pages. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/05/12/better-blogging-at-wordpress-com-pages-and-posts/

Hello,

I've changed my site title and tagline under Settings > General, but when I search for my blog using google, the old title and tagline appears.

The new title is "Meghan Reynard" and new tagline is "a journal of process and context". The old title is "Meghan Makes Art" and old tagline is "Just another wordpress.com site".

What should I do to make sure that the old title + tagline are deleted, and the new title + tagline appear in search results?

Thank you!

Meghan
