Its height is fixed and its width is the width of the main column. The outer part of the dark grey frame is a fixed-width border and the rest is a background that changes if the images aren't all the same aspect ratio.

I know how to do it with an individual picture but not slide show. any help would be very much appreciate it. thanks a lot
