There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot intsall plugins, upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

The notion that plugins help your make friends is one that totally escapes me. It's commenting meaningfully on other blogs that leads to creating relationships with other bloggers.
