Is the custom menu you created chosen in the "primary location" pulldown in the theme locations module at top left? If not, choose it and then save. Custom menus are typically deactivated when you switch themes to prevent issues due to different layouts and such.

I have all my menus on the top of my site set up the exact same way. I recently switched themes, but everything seemed to move over fairly easily. A few of the menus are working just as before but the others are not. When I look at the menu page, it is all set up just fine. So I am confused. Any thoughts or suggestions??
