Having said that you can display your post titles either on a separate static page or in a text widget in the sidebar of your site to show the first/oldest post at the top.

See the archives shortcode, which you would add to your Page or Text widget as follows:
[archives order="asc"]
http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/

This will cause your post titles (only) to appear in reverse order with the oldest at the top of the list.

If you want to hide the blog page entirely, you can do so by setting up a static front page and use a custom menu.
