It's all stored by WP.com on their servers and you have no access to the php files. If you have a WP.org blog, then you have to deal with those things yourself.

PHP script (and some javascript) is what wordpress software - .ORG and .COM - are written in, as are virtually all themes.

Basically I'm confused as to what SQL has to do with a wordpress blog; how it is utilized in this context.
