I believe you can go back to that post and unsubscribe. If not then you ought to be able to click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the next "comments" email you receive from that post.

Thanks for the link! I see blogs there that I've subscribed to, but not the one where I posted a comment. Once I leave a comment, if I've checked the box you mention, can I go back and undo it, so I don't get notifications of follow-up comments?

You can manage your comment subscriptions. Once you click in the Leave a Reply comment box, you will see the "Notify me of follow-up comments via email" check box appear. Simply un-check this box before you submit your comment and you will not receive email notifications.
If you ever forget to un-check the box you can always unsubscribe here:

Hi! I left a comment on a blog post, and I must have checked the box to receive notifications when someone else comments. Can I change this, so that I don't get email notifications every time someone else leaves a comment on that same blog post? Thanks!
