To move the title from the left to above the post content on the home page of the Blogum theme, you could do this:

.home .post h1 {
	display: block;
	position: absolute;
	left: 160px;
}

.home .post-content {
	padding-top: 60px;
}

However, note that when you using absolute positioning like this, there isn't a way to find out the height of the element. That means if you have a long title that the text might overlap. If you choose spacing that works for two lines of text for the title and make sure your titles aren't any longer than that, then it should work well for you.

Hey designsimply, thanks so much! It looks great!

Now here is another challenge:

is there any way to make the title float across my story, it is hiding over on the left side, and is really hard to see. I don't see how to adjust this.

You will need CSS editing help to remove the search box from the menu bar. I can't help with that. I'll flag this thread so it's moved to the CSS Forum where you can get Staff support.

The other search box is a widget and you can remove it here > Appearance > Widgets

Also I can confirm that both search boxes are working correctly. Sometimes bloggers are confused about how WordPress.com search operates.

The WordPress.com search engine indexes post, pages, and comments content (body text). Unless entered as text in those contents, blog name, post titles, and post/comment author names are not indexed.
