Why? Because every day we find people trying to uplaod images that aren't accepted file types or that are HUGE.

OK then this must be the format issue of the pictures. What is the format? gif, jpg,,png etc? BMP is not allowed here.

Google released the newest version of its Chrome 18 at the end of March and there are known issues with it. I'm on XP and using Firefox 11 and experiencing no issues like this one or the others. If you want to try Firefox go here http://browsehappy.com

Politics aside, have you tried using Firefox or SeaMonkey? I am using these two and they work fine on my Windows XP system I have the most slowest system on this planet so if it works for me, it should work for everybody.
