Hi what I require seems so obvious but I've been unsuccessful after a lot of googling.
Basically after selecting a main nav item from a horizontal menu a submenu appears in the sidebar. This submenu has three links see below. When Item 2 is selected only then do Sub Item1 and 2 display. When Sub Item 1 is selected Items 1, 2 and 3 should remain visible. At present I can't find any solution that does this. I would be very grateful for some help

Sub Menu
Item 1
Item 2
-- Sub Item 1
-- Sub Item 2
Item 3
