You have all the authority you need to delete the research I did above to illustrate to this blogger how to use the wordpress tag page to find the other wordpress bloggers using joomla.

Subscribe to a Support Forum Topic via Email was the original topic of this thread, wasn't it? And the blogger revealed in his original post to this thread that this thread was aimed at advertising his already published two blog posts.

So, at this juncture, it seems to me like a mission accomplished - topic resolved situation.

Does anyone here use Joomla?

(1) Yes, there are bloggers here posting about joomla and some are using it too. The wordpress.com tag page has posts on joomla http://wordpress.com/tags/joomla although most first page entries are not in English this changes as one clicks on the other pages.

I have a couple Joomba installs that I host but I don't fool around with them much. I have a volenteer who's big on them though.

I just FOUND it...

At the top of the topic, where it says, "This topic is one of your favorites [x]"....

I can just click on the word, "favorites"....

There should be a more obvious link though...

Like, for example.... The SUB-TABS called, "Profile", "Edit", and "Favorites"... should ALWAYS be visible... at the top of every topic page view...

My background and experience is in IT -- mostly network design, technology migration projects, and prior to that, database application development. I have only what I would consider peripheral knowledge/experience in web design/development (although I am learning fast, as I've been working a LOT in that area this past four weeks! ; )

Suffice to say the url for any rss real simple syndication feed is intuitive - here are examples one using a wordpress.com tag page category and the other using the FAQs

I believe you claimed something like 28 years background in web development and related areas when you first came here a month ago bruce. And I certainly do not believe that you are posting to the forum, without a purpose in mind, nor have I said anything to that effect at all. It would appear your purpose was to direct people to hit on your blog posts. And, although you have taken a turn towards getting personal with me in another thread when you questioned my username causing drmike to edit that part out - I forgive you.

Please don't take this the wrong way.... But...

Please, if the answer to my question is "intuitive"...

Indeed this has been explained before on the forum. Anyone for example can subscribe to a rss feed just to receive a single category tag's entries.

That link you provided is for creating a PDF file of your entire blog, category-by-category, for backup purposes... nothing to do with subscribing to a Support Forum Topic via email...

I just discovered that there is a SINGLE RSS FEED for ALL of your Favorites...

That is a much better way to do it... This way I can subscribe ONLY to that single feed... via email... And just add/remove Topics from my Favorites at will... which will then be adding or removing them from my email subscription at the same time... Very Nice!

However, in this item, I was referring to ME subscribing to a certain Topic -- or Question -- here... in THIS... the WordPress.com Support Forum...

(Of course, you can use the same method to subscribe to any forum... or any RSS Feed, for that matter...)

How can I offer email updates?
1. Go to FeedBurner
2. Register there.
3. Burn your feed.
Your feed address is your blog name with /feed at the end. Like this - http://example.wordpress.com/feed
4. Click ‘My Feeds’ at the top of the screen on the left
5. Click the name of your feed
6. Click the Publicize tab
7. Click the ‘Email Subscriptions’ in the left column
8. Find this “Subscription Link Code” and copy the code in the box underneath
9. Paste that code into a text widget
10. That’s all there is to it.

Note:
* You cannot redirect your feed to Feedburner
* Questions about the email service should go to FeedBurner
* Offering email updates might cause a drop in feed stats if people switch

Since this forum does not offer a way to subscribe to (or "watch") a post... via email updates...

In other words, a way to automatically be notified whenever someone posts a new response to a certain topic...

Here's what I do:

(1) Right-Click on "RSS feed for this forum" and "Copy Shortcut" ("Copy Link Location")...

(2) Open a new browser window and go to http://rssfwd.com or http://r-mail.org and I Paste the RSS Feed URL into the box... and enter my email address.

It works great!

Then, I go through each of those topics and Subscribe to it via email (by pasting it's RSS Feed into rssfwd.com...
