I have a text widget with a few buttons that are listed under each other. However I was wondering if I could put them side by side. I tried using HTML but they still come out listed underneath each other.

Try deleting the space and the empty lines between the html code of each of the buttons. Make the '<' mark of the next button right up against the closing '>' of the previous one.

Editing the themes is not possible because the themes are shared among all users here at WordPress.com. if you were to change yours, you would be changing everybody elses and they would be doing the same thing to you.

I think Sulz is channeling TimeThief because this is covered in the FAQ at the head of the forums under the editing theme question. :)

Hope this helps,

i don't know about your first question, but your second is no. it's theme-dependent and for you to do that you have to edit the template, which of course everybody knows by now is not possible on wordpress.com.

Also I was wondering if the border around the text widget could be removed? I did a search and didn't find anything about borders and text widgets.
