You might want to check out Under the Influence. You can have 2 or 3 columns, add your own header, which could be predominately white. I think the fonts are just want you are looking for.

I recommend to use The Journalist v1.9 theme and do CSS 'trick' to change its default font (Lucida Sans Unicode, font-size 13px) to Georgia font-size: 15px.

Have you experimented with all the themes yet? There are a lot, surely there is one of them that you like.

You can remove widgets to keep it simple.

You can select to filter results by criteria (Clean, Minimalist, White, etc.)

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of switching from WordPress back to Blogger, because no matter what I try, I can't get my WordPress blog looking as I'd like it. I would really like to avoid switching, as I'm happy with WordPress's mechanics so far, besides some frustrations with the themes. Basically, what I'm trying to come up with is a theme that is so painfully simple (Just a white background, minimal to no design features, that uses a serif font). Basically, here is an example from blogger of what I am wanting to achieve: http://www.beehivecraftcollective.blogspot.com/. Simple! Simple! Simple! Instead of what I currently have at http://www.notmytypewriter.com. Any advice would be very welcomed, as I'm planning to make the switch to Blogger in the next few days if I can find a simple fix.
