Some show widgets on every view, some don't.

I have a blog in which I added the widget "text" to the sidebar. Unfortunately, this widget only appears in posts, but not on the front page of my blog.
I am very very new to blogging and don't know anything about CSS and whatnot. So I'm trying to find a solution to the problem, without having to deal with the CSS code. I can only use the features in WordPress' "menu bar" on the left side of the screen.
Is there a simple solution to my problem? I want the sidebar widget "text" to appear on the front page.
