That is the problem (or the feature :)

As I can't change the post format with any shortcode, how do I prevent this "feature"?

As far as I can see they don't have any posts with the 'Image' post format. Could you ask them to test once more and leave the post as it is?

Replace 'BLOGNAME' with your blog name.

If you send an email to the blog it is using the Post Format "Image" and not standard.
