Then you can take it off your device and add it to your computer to add it to wordpress from there

Try Flickr, it's much more embed-friendly.

They, like Flickr used to, download only a placeholder image unless you examine the sourcecode for the page and find the actual image and copy that. This is what I had to do to get an instagram photo in my blog. Check your Instagram settings. And check the code they give you; you can't use Javascript, for eg.

We cannot use instagram on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. However, you can post by email to send a photo right from your phone to your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/ Note also that An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. When clicked, gallery images are displayed in a full-size carousel view. If you upload images using the Add Media button above the post/page editor, they will be attached automatically. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

Note: You can just use the Flickr Widget instead of the Instagram widget code. Works just fine.

I downloaded the photos to my desktop and then uploaded them into the photo editor, but when they were finished uploading, the image did not appear in the photo editor and I was unable to edit any of the information (such as putting a caption). I clicked on where the photo normally is and it took me to a web page with the title of the photo, but no photo was actually shown. So I guess my question is, are we not allowed to upload instagram photos on our blog? I've uploaded quick photos in the past from instagram, but that isn't really what I want to do in this particular case. Any help would be more than appreciated.
