All I get is the text in the sidebar. I noticed that when I check the text, after I save the widget, the first and last lines of the code have been deleted. Here is the code:

PayPal. We can use the plain paypal buttons here on WordPress.COM: no shopping carts. If that is necessary for your site, then you must look into self-hosting.
