Hi there,

The documentation specifies that you need your username, and you can find it by looking at the URL:

Twitter username: The username of the Twitter account that you want to show tweets from. When looking at a Twitter page, the username is the last part of the URL, as shown in the image below. (i.e. Twitter.com/username)

I can see how this would be confusing, however! :) I have edited the support documentation to make that more clear.

Cheers!

IT WORKS! THANKS :)
May I say they should change in the support http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-widget/#twitter-username
the misleading : "(i.e. Twitter.com/username)" ? it ends up in a waste o f time-
TY again zandyring .

Hi all,

In the Twitter widget, you should only enter your username.

So if your username is domsh, that is ALL you should enter into the widget (not a full URL).

I hope this helps!

I've been having the same problem. I actually posted to this forum a week ago about it but the problem has yet to be resolved. It appears to be a problem with the widget

Hello timethief, thanks for your reply. I know that is the Twitter URL, the trouble I am having is that once I insert the URL into the Twitter widget, when I press save the forward slash (/) between .com and domsh, disappears leaving - https://twitter.comdomsh - which is an error, no matter what I do, the forward slash continues to disappear. I am following the guide, thanks, but nothing seems to address this problem specifically, which is why I think it may be a fault with the Twitter widget for the Bueno theme

Hi there, I am using the free Beuno theme on my blog domhearts.wordpress.com. I've been trying to integrate the twitter widget into the theme but when it comes to entering my username URL (twitter.com/domsh) and I press save, the forward slash disappears, causing a break in the URL and an error on the page. Is this a fault with the theme or the widget?
Help please!
