Aha! That makes sense. I knew about the transferring blog thing for admin but hadn't made the connection for my own blogs. Much appreciated and a better solution than just stripping out the About data. Bless you and thanks :)

The email address we use when we create a username account becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged in and register blogs they are assigned to that username and email address and appear in the "My Blogs" dropdown. In order to separate the blogs you must log out of WordPress.com and create a second username account using a different email address. Then you can add the new username account as an Admin for the blogs and use the process to transfer the blog between usernames.

I've dealt with it the simplest way. Changed my name and deleted the about info in the profile settings. Guess there's no other way.

Hello! I wonder if anyone can advise me on how to separate this blog from my food blog? This blog is not one I publicize and I don't particularly want cross over traffic from one to the other.

I am trying out the Matala theme here and it has created an about box which refers to my other blog which I don't want it to do really and is illogical and inaccurate. I suppose it is picking up my general settings.

Is this something that I can work around or should I just go back to the previous theme which didn't do this? Any thoughts appreciated. Joanna
