If you delete a site you will not be able to get it back and no one else will be able to use that site address. You must be sure you never want to use the site again if you delete it. If you are unsure, you can change the site to private and no one will be able to read it. If you decide to use it later, you can switch it back to a public site.

Do NOT delete a site to transfer it to someone else.
Do NOT delete a site to create a new username.
Do NOT delete a site to get rid of old posts or other content.

I wanted to transfer the blog to another account called akbrinded, and I thought to do this I would need to change the name of the current blog to something else and re-start a new blog with the old name which has now been renamed. The blog is now called thecloudcuckoofactory2.wordpress.com.

However, on further investigation, I realise that no name change was necessary and I just had to transfer the blog to the new account, which I have done, but when I come to change the blog name FROM thecloudcuckoofactory2.wordpress.com back to the original blog name of thecloudcuckoofactory.com, wordpress tells me I can't do it.

Any advise?
