Thankyou very much. A simple solution, and of course it works perfectly. I'm not sure where I would have located that information, though - is there a list of functions/shortcuts for typing in WordPress that I just haven't come across?

To get a standard line break (no blank line) press shift + enter . To get a paragraph break (blank line) press enter.

This may be a simple problem that I just can't find the button for, but I want to remove the spaces between lines on my blog, so that a poem (for instance) can be published without looking like this. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? Many thanks if you can help.
