Hi again, it does looks like a caching issue on your end. The good news is that won't affect your readers, the bad news is that we can't directly help you fix it.

You mentioned that you've already rebooted your computer several times. Could you please try rebooting your router, too?

If that does not help, I would suggest contacting your internet service provider for assistance. You might also want to consider something like OpenDNS: http://www.opendns.com/home-solutions

That should address your DNS cashing issues.

I hope the above helps. As the DNS caching issue is beyond our control, I'm sorry I was not able to assist more.

Hi there, sorry this is happening to your domain. I just checked on our side and there are no records that are still tying your domain to WordPress.com. Looks like there is a caching problem somewhere along the line.

You mentioned that you've tried deleting history and restarting your computer. Could you please try the following and let me know if it addresses the issue for you:

1) Clear cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

I updated the domain settings last Wednesday as well and I waited until the time frame that GoDaddy said (24-72 hours), I was still receiving the same error all weekend after the 72 hours passed. Yesterday I logged into GoDaddy to check and make sure everything is still alright, so technically I did go in yesterday and looked at things through the Domain Manager on GoDaddy, but, I didn't make any changes, just saved after I left. I'm just perplexed by the Domain mapping error I keep getting even though the domain name has been pointing to GoDaddy's nameservers since mid last week.

Thanks again for the help.

It looks like you updated your domain settings for rappeneckerdesign.com yesterday - it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet - each time you visit a site you go by a different route - so inside the 72 hour time frame you can have erratic results -

Since you have pointed your name servers to Godadddy there is no way that WordPress.COM can do anything to your address

Thanks for the response. I do use only that login and have been able to work on my site here and there, but, I still keep getting kicked out with the domain mapping error randomly (even though I'm working on my site through the GoDaddy login). If I clear my history I'm able to get back onto my site for a little bit, but, then I am kicked out again with the WP domain mapping error. In my opinion, it seems like WordPress.com is causing this error because I originally set up my site using wordpress.com and included my domain name. WordPress.com is still doing something with my domain even though it's all properly set up in GoDaddy. Is there any way I can COMPLETELY get rid of my original WP account?

Thanks for any help

Hi there,

I have a urgent WordPress issue that I would appreciate any help with! Here is my issue:

Early last week, I purchased domain & hosting for my website (rappeneckerdesign.com) through GoDaddy. Immediately after that, I went onto wordpress.com and went through the steps to set up my account (I realize now that I didn't need to do this and I originally didn't set WP up through GoDaddy, I now have done this). When I was setting up the account on wordpress.com, when you get to the part where you add your domain in for your site, I put my domain name in and put down that I had already purchased the domain, so my domain would be mapped to WP from GoDaddy.

After I realized that I set it up wrong, I logged into WordPress.com and removed all the info in regards to my site. I then logged into GoDaddy, set up WordPress, created a different WP login and I thought I was ready to go.

Now I have been getting these warning since last week: "Warning: Domain Mapping is not set up for this site" & "The page isn't redirecting properly".I'm not even able to log into my WP site unless I clear my history and restart my computer, which doesn't always work.

I've contacted GoDaddy 4 times and they say everything is fine on their end, so the issue must be with WordPress.

I would appreciate any help I can get with this issue!!

Thank you in advance,
kyle
