Thanks so much for your help. You are absolutely correct. I created the blog in question with a different ID but the same email address as the one I am signed in with now. ... kind of embarrassing - Doh! Resolved now - thanks again.

Hi there,

So I do see that your user account associated with softworks.wordpress.com is different from the user account here. It is registered to user softworks - I can't tell you the email address that goes with it, for privacy reasons. However, you may be able to remember your password or you could go to log in and click on the link for more help and set yourself up with a new password.

I hope that helps!

Thanks again. I created a new blog today as a test to see if there was something wrong with the account generally. The new blog is http://softworkstec.wordpress.com and it seems to be working fine. I really would like to get the softworks.wordpress.com name working again if possible.

Thanks

Thanks for your help. The first link did take me to a page which showed the link "Blogs" on the menu. When clicked it, the page displayed the following:

My Blogs
All (0) | Visible (0) | Hidden (0)

Hovering over the text does not reveal any additional options. When I click on the "Site Stats" option, the page displays "You don't appear to have any blogs yet, why not start one?". One might think there is no blog created but when I go to the softworks.wordpress.com address, I get the page that says "http://softworks.wordpress.com/ is marked private by its owner. You can ... request access". When I use the "request access" link, an email comes to my address.

It almost seems like the pages for the blog have been removed from the servers while the DNS reference remained in place.

I setup a company blog on WordPress a couple of years ago for evaluation. We decided to try to use our internal SharePoint site first, so I marked the WordPress blog "private". We have now decided we would like to use WordPress. When I login to WordPress, I don't see the blog at all. The dashboard does not show any blog specific options - just my profile. I tried entering the blog address directly in the browser and the page tells me the blog is private, and, when I request access the email does go to me. When I click the link provided in the email however, I receive the message "User ... Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested". Since I am the administrator (given I received the email in the first place), there is no one to give me access. Any ideas? I realize I could create a new blog site but we would really prefer to use the name already established.

Thanks
