The users without a blog and don't have a profile is a known issue. I do not know what the current status on it is. You'd have to send in an email to support at this domain to check.

Hi, when I first registered, I asked for a username only, without a blog being created for me. After I verified my identity, it appeared I could not access my profile to change my password (from the temporary one assigned by the system). After I was associated with a blog, however, this was no longer a problem.

I can't reproduce this anymore, since I am now associated with at least one blog.
