You can also keep it at the top of your blog, even if you post other stuff after it. All you have to do is change the datestamp of the BANNER post every time you publish another post. You set it to just a minute after your last post, and it will pop up. Don't set it any later than that, or it'll hide and post later. You change the time on the Edit page, on the right-hand side.

Yes, in fact, as far as I know this is just a foodblog-event, nothing commercial.
Thanks again! :)

Cool. You're already doing better than some of the folks we have here. :)

And since I know *SOMEONE* will ask, this does not seem to be anything commerical so I would think it would be allowed under the ToS.

Depending on how long you want it to display on your blog, you can either paste it into a text widget (Presentation->Widgets) or put it in a blog post using the "Code" tab on the editor (if you paste it into the "Visual" editor, you'll just see the code in the post, not the banner.

I hope this is helpful.

If it's plain old html, that should work.

But if it's got javascript or flash in it, it's a no go.

Paste the code into a reply, putting it between backticks (`) that key to the left of the one and above the tab, looks like a slanty single quote. Someone can take a look at it and let you know for sure.

Hi!

I need some help with using code to display a banner in one of my posts. I am participating in the Bread Baking Day and I was given the code to display the banner of this event in my blog. But I have no idea what to do with it...do I just copy and paste it in the body of a new post?
Thank you!!

:)
