I have search engine blocked

Settings > Privacy on this page the following is stated:

Allow search engines to index this site.
Ask search engines not to index this site.

Note: Neither of these options blocks access to your site — it is up to search engines to honor your request.

Also note this announcement:

Private blogs, which can be viewed only by users chosen by the administrator, now track the page views of all of their users. Traditionally we have omitted the views attributed to a blog’s own users because stats were meant to reflect the activity of the general public. However, this meant that private blogs had no useful stats reports. But, I have increases in WP referrals - major amounts on the 18th and 20th and about 4-15 on the 19th and 21st.

The alternating high-lows are just as frustrating as the unexplained hits with no page visits recorded.

Though Page and Post hits are noted, there are no Pages or Posts showing as read or opened via WPs hits. Is this to increase Living Shadows' hit count; if not then what, why?
