Thanks for the information @justpi. @darrellcreswell, I did more research and @justpi is right. You would need to edit the php file for the theme to make this change, and that is not something you are able to do with a WordPress.com site.

No. The "hiding" isn't done via the CSS of the theme, so you cannot override it.

Hi there,

You should be able to use Custom CSS to keep the 3rd column from hiding when viewing individual pages and posts, but it might require advanced CSS knowledge. If you get stuck and need help you can ask the experts in the CSS forum at:

Best!

The theme template is coded to display exactly the way the theme description describes and this section may be relevant as we cannot edit templates:

Does the Custom Design upgrade let me edit HTML?
No. The Custom Design upgrade allows you to edit fonts and CSS only. You can change the appearance of a theme, but not its HTML markup, PHP code, or content. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

As I do not help with CSS editing, I tagged this thread for a definitive answer from Staff.

I want to use the Ideation and Intent theme, but when you get away from the home page the 3rd column with all the widgets (twitter, facebook ect) drops off. Question is this. If I purchase the upgrade can I make the 3 columns standard on every page with Custom CSS?
