WordPress.com themes aren't transferable as the two run on slightly different software. However, you ought to contact the theme designer as the may have a WordPress.org version of the same theme.

Can I download Debut Theme to function on WordPress.ORG and download as a zip file. The limitations on WordPress.com are not what I was expecting.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG so not run on exactly the same software and the versions of themes we have here don't necessarily have all the features the WordPress.ORG versions have. For example, if I click on Appearances --> Theme Options, I have the following options: Logo & Header, Layout Options, Blog, Hero Slider, Featured Content and Footer. In addition, in each of these options, there are only a few items to choose from. On the Vimeo tutorial, each tab in the menu at the top when clicked on has multiple options to modify and edit pages. I just purchased Debut last month so it is up to date. What am I missing here?
