Oh. Thank you for responding. What I think I meant to ask was when someone looks at the blog using the new URL, will they see a whole new blog, or will they see my old one with all the old posts? (I want them to see the old site, will they be able to?)

Thanks.

What happens is that every original URL is broken. If the content has been indexed by search engine like Google and Bing then every time someone clicks one of those original post URLs anywhere on the internet they don't connect to the content, instead they experience a 404 (page not found). We have no control over how long it will take for the search engines to clear their caches of the indexed content that produces 404's and Google and Bing do that every 3 - 6 months. It also takes about 3 - 4 months for the search engines to re-index the content under the new URLs.

I learned already how to change the blog address, but I am wondering what happens when I do that. Will you see my old blog posts but under a new address? I realized that I stupidly used my real first name in my blog address and I want to change that, but I want all my old blog posts to still be there and look the same.

Thanks!
