Even if you purchase a domain name with mapping through WordPress.com, you will not be able to run adsense on your WordPress.com site.

The only advertising program that is allowed on WordPress.com is WordAds.

However, it says that Adsense is for blogs with moderate to high traffic. Could anybody give you a good benchmark for each? How many views should I be looking for before I consider doing something like that?
