Will you please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question so we can provide an accurate answer?

We cannot edit themes or templates and insert any HTML into them so every post becomes the same length when the text is split. Some themes are coded to do this like Fusion and Inuit Types but most are not. We can insert "the more tag" into our posts to split text which will result in the beginnings of posts on the front page followed by a link visitors can click to read the full post on its own page. A Few themes have active excerpt functions that can be used to achieve this.

I want to be able to insert HTML that says 'continue reading' in my posts so that when people see a list of my posts one after the other they know they need to click on something to get the full review. I have the HTML (<!--more-->) but I am unsure where to put it inside the posts, as they are all different lengths. Can you help?
