Yes. I created the 1st post, (New Year, New Blog (posts). Apologies, that's such a cliché title. Ughh. http://wp.me/pW2O1-9E), on my dashboard.

I created the second post by going to dashboard> Add new...

Timethief & Kathrynwp, you ladies are awesome! Thanks for your advice and assistance.

Hi again - it looks like the new post content has overwritten the old post content, keeping the same page "slug" (URL).

We were able to replicate this is only by clicking the "back" button in Safari after adding an initial post. Do you remember if you used the "back" button to create the second post, or if you used the site navigation, like Posts > Add New?

You may be able to recover an earlier post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/ then you will not be able to recover it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash

I wrote a post and published it but it disappeared from my blog, dashboard, etc.

I'm certain it was published because the link was sent to a corresponding social media site. Problem is, I can only view the first 2 lines of the disappeared post on that social media site. When I click the link, I'm directed to a post of a different title and content. What's going on?
