My site costs $ 13.-- US/ year for mapping and $ 30.-- US/ no ads upgrade (WordPress.COM pays the bills by putting ads on blogs here) - I decided I did not want any ads on my main site -

Limits - I can't sell my own ads on my site - but then if you just want to share info (as I do on my site) then this is a good place to be - the hosting is free so you can signup for a blog here and test the software for free if you want - 3 GB of storage space and unlimited bandwidth (so if one of your Posts goes viral at 1,000,000 page views in a day your site does not crash)

Provide a blog. Provide an email connection for subscribers etc. Like yours I would like it to be a useful goto place for information on learning and education on various children, and some adult I guess issues on financial education.

Both WordPress.ORG software and Joomla can be used to build web sites - you can use either one it looks like on Blue host - the choice depends on what you want to do with your web site - I have put a link to Joomla below that should help you a bit

A domain name can be mapped to a blog hosted at WordPress.COM so that the domain name appears in the browser window - i.e. your-site.com would display when visitors went to your blog your-site.wordpress.com

The site is hosted by Blue Host, I edit in wordpress but cannot seem to bring up the site as a normal website.
