The reality is that WordPress.org installs get way more spam than WordPress.com blogs do but it's no big deal as Akismet works very well. if you aren't clear on that read this > http://akismet.com/how/

You need to enable Akismet on your blog

The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

I hope you can help me I recently swapped my blog from WordPress.com to .org (Clothes-make-the-man.com) and since the weekend I'm being plagued by spam, I really do mean plagued this wasn't a problem on .com but it is a nightmare on .org can you help please.

If they're winding up in your spam folder, Akismet is already catching them.

You don't need to delete them from the spam folder, it's emptied automatically every 15 days.

Can't WordPress's spam control get rid of this evil spammer? [email redacted]

They've been leaving 40 or more spam comments per day in my spam folder and I have to delete them all. What is Akismet for if it doesn't catch these obvious spams?
