I was signing up for a new blog and just wanted to use the same name as the domain name I already have.

When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username. Follow these instructions if you already have a domain that you registered elsewhere, and you want to map that domain to your .wordpress.com blog. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

Hi
I searched but didnt quite find an answer.
I have a business domain name - that I used on another CMS platform (not launched only reserved) I want to create a wordpress site and link it to my domain name (I will be using different log in address etc) When I type in my domain name in the ".wordpress" section it says the name has been reserved - how can I get around that?
Can I just add blog to the domain name in the .wordpress section (because eventually I will add a blog anyway).
Do I have to upgrade before I can use my own domain name?
Thanks
