I used another email address and an old password and was able to get in. This is still strange to me, though, since 1) I should be able to use my username to log in, right? 2) I updated my email address awhile ago and 3) why did WP create a new username and empty account when I changed my password?

I'm glad that I can log in but this still seems like a very strange situation.

If you are logged in and register a blog then it's registered under that unique identifier. You cannot access any blog unless you are logged in under the exact username account that registered the blog.

I did not change my username! I have been having some trouble for awhile logging on: I can't log on with just my username but if I enter my email address ([email redacted]) I can log on however when I tried yesterday I had to change my password in order to log on and then when it let me in to my dashboard all my stuff was totally gone.

I have a new WP.org account but my login info is totally different and it's hosted by DreamHost.
